Our Objectives

1) Advance the interests of the business community between CA – RO and UE.
2) Address issues in the context of current and future economic ties between the CA and the RO.
3) Secure and build upon the open market access that CA has achieved through its existing trade agreements as a member of CETA with RO and UE.
4) Advocate for and provide inputs and support the negotiations for a future CA – RO and UE free trade agreement.

CCCR Council
– The Council’s mission is to promote a mutually beneficial economic relationship at the highest levels of business and government via advocacy, engagement, and communications.
– The Council creates a unique platform for companies to engage with policymakers from the CA, RO, and the European Union, debates on key regulatory policy issues and future bilateral talks between the CA. and the RO.
The Council’s Program of Work
– Communication of policy priorities in the CA-RO and UE bilateral trade talks.
– Executive roundtables with CA, RO, and UE officials.
– Senior executive delegation visits to Canada, Romania and UE.
– Annual forums in Canada, Romania or any other EU country
– Conferences focused on market access, customs rules, the movement of skilled labor, tax policy, regulatory cooperation, antitrust issues, intellectual property rights, and data transfers.
